As the martensitic stainless steel, 1Cr13 can also obtain the relatively high strength and good toughness through quenching and high-temperature tempering. This steel grade is commonly compared with the 2Cr13, 3Cr13 and 4Cr13, and has the lowest carbon content among those four grades. Therefore, it has the lowest strength but the best ductility and toughness.
