Product Characteristics

S-06 alloy is a high-strength precipitation hardened martensitic stainless steel. Through the addition of carbide-forming elements such as W, Mo, V and Nb, it obtains good mechanical properties via carbide precipitation strengthening. Due to its relatively high Cr and Mo content, it has good corrosion resistance and can be used for a long term at 500℃.

Industrial Application

The alloy's main products are bars and forgings. The alloy has been used for the manufacture of long-life anti-fatigue components in the aviation & aerospace field, high-pressure liquid oxygen pumps, high-pressure gas generators, and rocket engines. After long-term production and service evaluation, its service performance is good. Alloy supply condition: bars possess the good thermal processing process plasticity and good mechanical properties.
