Product Characteristics

S-07 Steel is a martensitic-austenitic aging stainless steel. Its main characteristic is that unstable austenite structure can be obtained at room temperature to ensure excellent machining performance. The unstable austenite can then be transformed into low-carbon martensite through various methods for strengthening, followed by precipitation hardening through aging treatment, thereby achieving relatively high strength along with good toughness and plasticity. This material is not sensitive to hydrogen embrittlement, and features low notch sensitivity and good resistance to stress corrosion.

Industrial Application

The alloy's main products are bars and forgings. In aircraft manufacturing, the alloy is used for some load bearing structural components, aircraft undercarriage bushing parts, tie rods and bolts in aircraft engines, and certain load bearing components operating in low-temperature environments. After long-term production and service evaluation, its service performance is good. Alloy supply condition: bars possess the good thermal processing process plasticity and good tensile, impact and low-temperature properties.
