Product Characteristics

50Mn18Cr5 belongs to the typical Mn-Cr series non-magnetic austenitic retaining ring steel that is the most commonly used. It has the characteristics of high manganese non-magnetic properties so that it also named as high manganese non-magnetic steel. After solid-solution treatment, it undergoes the semi-thermal deformation strengthening or cold deformation strengthening to improve the steel strength, meeting user's different strength requirements for retaining rings.

Industrial Application

The alloy's main products are used for large and small motor retaining rings, special retaining rings and conventional retaining rings. They differ from the forging processes. It can be used for rolled plate, flat bars, round bars and special non-magnetic steel. It is used for non-magnetic retaining ring forgings of steam turbine generators, and other parts requiring non-magnetism. It can also be used for transformer's internal structural parts, and widely used in electric furnace manufacturing industry.
